The Abyss of Evil was an ancient netherworld location in Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
History
The legendary Abyss of Evil was a dreaded realm of darkness, also a vortex and gateway between dimensions representing the negative afterlife in ancient ninja folklore thought to be a story. It was where the evil space ninja Lothor and his army were banished after their destruction and possibly the place where all evils ended up, basically the Power Rangers universe's equivalent to Hell or Purgatory of the real world or the Netherrealm of Mortal Kombat. However, other monster afterlives were seen so it is unknown if it was the only such underworld.
Lothor overloaded the Abyss with his own heart's malice after betraying all his generals and the Rangers had destroyed all of his monsters, allowing the stored evil to sweep across the city of Blue Bay Harbor. This caused everything that ended up there to reemerge. The freed Ninja Academy students arrived and helped to fight Lothor's forces and the Ninja Storm Rangers managed to seal them into the Abyss along with their leader.
However, Lothor eventually managed to break free and team up with Mesogog to get revenge. It was last seen when the Storm Ranger powers were retrieved.

Trivia
- The Shadow World and Nighlok Heaven were realms previously thought to be afterlives of evil in Power Rangers. It is still unknown if the Abyss of Evil, Shadow World and Nighlok Heaven were one in the same or three separate places. Either way they all served as different death realms for destroyed monsters and various defeated villains.
