The Ahtal-Neset is an object introduced in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

Appearance[]

The Ahtal-Neset, also known as the "walking fortress," is a massive battle machine that was rudimentarily put together from scrap metal, ruin rubble, and the Ahtal-Ka's own silk. Its structure is quadrupedal, with a tail capped with metal spikes and a "head" that somewhat resembles a wyvern's. Gaps in the armor plating and joints reveal the Ahtal-Ka's silk, which enables the Ahtal-Ka to manipulate its creation's movement like a marionette. The Ahtal-Ka is concealed in a silken cocoon inside the machine's "chest" when it controls Ahtal-Neset.

Abilities[]

When hidden, the Ahtal-Ka utilizes the silk to extract the enormous Ahtal-Neset, which it hides inside and manipulates like a puppet to destroy enemies. In this condition, it exploits the physical might of its invention by either blasting silk from the machine's central cocoon to immobilize hunters or pounding its legs on the ground to create earthquakes that send them flying.

Ahtal-Neset disassembles and resumes its regular combat once it has sustained sufficient damage. But this time, it attaches a Dragonator to its back and uses it as a spear to hurl it at adversaries. Additionally, it can pull up to three Dragonators into the air and toss them at hunters using the golden silk.

Ahtal-Ka digs in the middle of the area and extracts Ahtal-Neset once more after it has sustained enough harm. This time, however, it can launch a frontal attack on hunters by either ejecting the pheromone from the tiny cocoon or using the machine's "tail" to divert them.

When Ahtal-Neset is ultimately destroyed, Ahtal-Ka comes out of it, having bound the last remnant of its creation—a huge wheel that had been lodged in the machine's back—to its back. In its last stage, it fights mostly with the wheel, using it to move swiftly and swing it around, and covers the entire region with silk, which can trap hunters who step on it. Furthermore, it has the ability to summon three Dragonators from the earth and spin them around itself, causing enormous harm to hunters.
