The Battle Fight is a battle royale orchestrated between the different species of the Earth in Kamen Rider Blade.

History

First Battle Fight

10,000 years before the present day, the Battle Fight was organized by the Stone of Sealing between 52 of the Earth's species. Each species was given one representative in the Battle Fight, called an "Undead". Whichever Undead won would have their species rule the Earth and be granted one wish to alter the planet. However, in addition to the 52 species that participated in the Battle Fight, the Stone of Sealing inserted a 53rd Undead into the Battle Fight - the Joker Undead, which represented Death. If the Joker Undead won the Battle Fight, the world would end and be reset, with a new Battle Fight being organized to determine the dominant species on that Earth.

The first Battle Fight was won by the Human Undead, and as such in the coming millennia the humans would become the ruling species of the Earth while the other Undead that had been defeated were sealed away.

Second Battle Fight

At some point Hiroshi Tennoji, the chairman of BOARD, became aware of the existence of the Battle Fight and sought to restart it for his own ends. He arranged for BOARD to locate where the Undead were and unseal them, beginning a new Battle Fight in modern times. In response, BOARD employed the Rouze Kamen Riders to hunt down the Undead and stop any of them from winning the Battle Fight. As the Rouze Riders battled the Undead, Tennoji had his researchers secretly conduct experiments to create artificial Undead, resulting in the birth of the Trial Series and the Titan Undead. Through these experiments, Tennoji was eventually able to develop Kerberos, an inordinantly powerful artificially made Category Ace Undead which would serve as Tennoji's personal representative in the Battle Fight and enable him to rig it. As the final step of his plan, Tennoji merged with Kerberos to win the Battle Fight himself and use his wish to remake the world in his image.

After Kerberos was defeated by the Rouze Riders and Tennoji was killed, the only Battle Fight participants left were the Giraffa Undead and Joker Undead, the true identity of Hajime Aikawa / Kamen Rider Chalice. When the Giraffa Undead was sealed, the Joker Undead was left as the only participant and thus was declared the winning, resulting waves of Darkroaches being created by the Stone of Sealing to begin the process of unmaking the planet. However, Kazuma Kenzaki managed to avert the destruction of the world by taking some of Hajime's Joker Undead essence and using it to turn himself into an Undead, forcing the Battle Fight to continue on in a stalemate. Because both Kazuma and Hajime were Undead, they had to avoid each other lest they be compelled to fight.
