...A building is a symbol, as is the act of destroying it. Symbols are given power by people. Alone, a symbol is meaningless, but with enough people, blowing up a building can change the world.
~ V in V for Vendetta

Villainous Symbolism is evil/villain-related things that represents an entirely larger concept than themselves. For instance, the pentagram shape on both the Morgana Star (symbol of the Morganians and opposite of the Merlin Circle) and the legendary witch Abigail Williams' Necklace represents their sinister nature and their association with black magic in Disney' s The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Other examples of such iconic symbols of evil includes Eggmanland (Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik's precious mechanical amusement park-like utopia) in the Sonic the Hedgehog videogame franchise, the Halo of the Sun (symbolic crest of The Order) in the Silent Hill videogame universe, the D.R.A.T. cult's Golden Nose medallion (representing Doctor Robotnik's well-known nose and mustache) in the comic book series Sonic the Comic, the Baphomet Idol (resembling the mythological demon Baphomet) in the film Return to House on Haunted Hill, and both the Elder Sign (possible sign of the Great Old Ones) and the Yellow Sign (occult glyph worshipped by the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign) in the Cthulhu Mythos.
