The Eggdome (often sometimes spelled differently as the "Egg Dome") is a gargantuan egg-shaped dome that was the egomaniacal Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik's base of operations as well as his personal bunker of sorts, and it is one of many location in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series.
This spherical metal fortress was constructed in the city of New Megaopolis but for the sole purpose of emergencies for Dr. Eggman and the Dark Egg Legion after the supernatural creature known as Enerjak destroyed most of the city.
It later brought to use yet again by the mad Doctor Eggman's dastardly nephew Snively Robotnik and later the Iron Dominion's Iron Queen via his help and without her husband the Iron King getting in the way of her control during the Iron Dominion Takeover, before eventually being reclaimed by Eggman.
It is perfectly suited for housing about a hundred soldiers or more and also has all the necessary equipment for the evil Doctor Eggman to build and test his robotic creations to renew his own Empire and to resume his despicable quest for world domination.
The Eggdome was later revealed to actually be the Death Egg Mark 2 in the making.

- As of Issue #225, if one takes into account the fact that Doctor Eggman lost both Robotropolis and New Megaopolis when he was out of power, the Eggdome was his last remaining "headquarters", without taking into account his unchecked Sub-Bosses.
