The Iron Sceptre is a scepter with a dark-blue crystal orb attached inside and a royal weapon belonged to the Iron Queen of the Iron Dominion with the power to control dark magic and influence machines and robotic beings. It is one of many items featured within the Sonic the Hedgehog universe and it first appeared in the Sonic the Hedgehog comicbook series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. Like the Tremor Mace which is the weapon of her husband known as the Iron King, it can match against very powerful weapons such as Monkey Khan's Atom-Bat and Amy Rose's Piko Piko Hammer.

The Iron Sceptre is a yellowish goethite rod with a mystical black and blue crystal orb on top. This orb is then surrounded vertically by what resembles a cross between a bident (a two-pronged implement resembling a pitchfork) and a horseshoe magnet.

The orb on the sceptre contains supernatural energy and electrical impulses that the Iron Queen used to amplified her Magitek abilities and harness her dark magic.

Although appearing to be both magical and technological in nature, it is originally crafted through technological and/or even alchemical means by the Iron Queen herself (unlike the Tremor Mace which is a technological weapon and was possibly designed by Dr. Ivo Robotnik, similar to the Atom-Bat). Seeing as the Iron Queen (formerly known as Regina Ferrum) was always seen with it many times since in her early days when she was betrothed to Jun Kun, now known as the Iron King, the staff serves as a sacred symbol of authority within the Iron Dominion and the symbol of her cruelty.

It was never seen again after the Queen was defeated and captured one last time since her attempted fierce battle against not only Sonic the Hedgheog and the Freedom Fighters, but also against Dr. Robotnik's alternate counterpart Dr. Eggman and his Egg Beater robot with the aid of Robotnik's nephew Snively and the Iron Oni.

  • The staff's name is also spelled differently as "Iron Scepter".
  • In Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue 60, the Iron Sceptre's early appearance has 2 Power Rings attached beneath the scepter's orb before the rings was broken by Tails who freed Monkey Khan from the Iron Queen's mind control during the battle against her.
