The Underland's Outlands

The Outlands

Therefore you are banished to the Outlands. No one is to show you any kindness, or ever speak a word to you. You will not have a friend in the world.
~ The White Queen, banishing the Red Queen to the Outlands for her crimes against the people of Underland.

The Outlands is the name of a mysterious, barren lands within the magic world of Underland, located west of Witzend, beyond a mountain chain. It is a location in the Alice in Wonderland universe and it was first mentioned in the 2010 Disney movie Alice in Wonderland and appeared in the 2016 sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass. Most people avoid this territory due to it being a terrible and lonely place.

This region is uninhabitable: a mostly flat, barren desert landscape with some dense woods here and there that are rumored to be full of huge, terrifying creatures. The deserts of the Outlands are free of rocks, brush, or sticks. Free of anything that could be used to take one's life.

Both Ilosovic Stayne, the Knave of Hearts, and Iracebeth of Crims, the deposed Red Queen, were both banished to the Outlands after being defeated by Mirana of Marmoreal, the White Queen who is the now rightful ruler of all of Underland once again with the help of her fellow Underlanders and the heroine Alice. Because there was not anything to use to kill himself or her, Stayne begged the White Queen to take off his head, but she did not owe him a kindness. He was also not able to rid himself of Iracebeth, who was furious because of his attempt to murder her.
