Remnant is key material/object in Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. It is the term for the physical manifestation of memories infusion with inanimate objects and possessing them.

In games, after William killed Charlie, he founds remnant and for become immortal, he kills a lot of kids for his experience. This is the reason why he was survived from his first death. Also Michael Afton was injected with Remnant and became immortal thanks to the Scooper.
