• Hello all,

Most of you (especially those in the United States), have probably heard of the battle for Net Neutrality that has taken place recently. For those of you who haven't, here is a quick run-down: Net Neutrality ensures that all those that use the internet remain anonymous, and the government cannot censor or regulate what they do on the internet. Furthermore, it ensures that companies cannot own or sell internet to customers; business can be made through the internet, not with the internet. However, as of December 14th, 2017, Net Neutrality has been revoked in favor of a new system. The internet will now be owned by big corporations such as Verizon, Comcast, AT&T, etc., and all people who use the internet will not only have to pay raised monthly service bills, but will also have to pay for services usually included with internet (for example, in order to post or view videos, a seperate monthly "videos fee" will have to be paid). Furthermore, the internet will no longer be anonymous, and all internet activity will be monitored by both the government and by foreign services in the Middle East (some of which are with countries with ties to sponsored terrorism). Governments can now censor, regulate, track, and even use a person's internet activity to persecute. The purpose of revoking this is to give more government control and to allow the lawmakers and companies who passed this motion to make even more money.

As such, many users stationed in the United States will likely slow down or suspend their internet activity, which includes contributions to any site such as this website.

However, the fight is not over yet. If you live in the States, please contact your local representatives and tell them that you demand Net Neutrality. Also be sure to visit for more information and to show your support. Tell the governments that they cannot charge or monitor our expression, our creativity, our freedom. Battle for the net.
